Ryan Simpson

A coach who has been there.

Ryan did not come into the world of Professional Training and Executive Coaching by any of the “normal” routes. Instead, he spent 25 years as a Mountain Guide and Expedition Leader. This means that Ryan can not only “talk the talk” about Leadership, but he has “walked the walk!” Ryan has lead teams in some of the most hazardous environments on Earth, through high pressure situations and high-consequence scenarios, where the quality of leadership made the difference between a team crumbling, or succeeding.

After moving away from the front line of the industry, Ryan moved up through the levels of the Adventure Industry, from teaching and coaching to training and assessing leaders and instructors in national governing body awards, to management to Senior Manager of the largest outdoor centre in Europe. Ryan has personally managed large teams of 150+, multi million pound budgets and has proved transformative in his approach to Organisational Culture and Efficiency.

As a Trainer and Performance Architect, Ryan has developed and delivered a wide variety of training and coaching. These include Developmental Leadership programmes for multinationals, Executive Coaching for Senior Leaders, training courses on Self Worth, Stress management and Decision Making under Pressure for Government Arms, HR Behavioural Interventions for Performance Management, Progressive EDI Training for large manufacturing firms, Risk Assessment and Management courses and more. Ryan was the trainer selected to develop and deliver a high level developmental Negotiation Skills training programme for the Department of Heath’s Negotiation team in Northern Ireland,

Ryan believes in being the most skilled, educated, prepared and capable professional possible and it is from this standpoint that he coaches and teaches his clients.

As ambitious personally as he is professionally, Ryan has climbed and mountaineered extensively around the world, completed multiple Ironman Triathlons, cycled the length of the continent, the length of the UK five times, the length of Ireland twice, completed multiple Ultra-Endurance events from Bosnia, to Scandinavia and beyond, ran over more mountains and mountain ranges than he can count and continues to plan and chase bigger and more audacious goals every year.

Ryan knows exactly what it takes to get you to where you need to be.
